The Second Congress of the APCOC was held in Macau from December 4 to 6, 2008. Our Senior Doctors, Dr. Sue Lo and Dr. Grace Wong, were invited to talk on “Novel use of emergency contraception” and “Sexuality and sexual behaviours of the youth in Hong Kong” and to conduct four sessions of Meet the Expert at Breakfast discussions. Dr. Yeung Kwun Yan won the Bayer Schering Pharma Talents Encouragement Award for her poster entitled “Effectiveness of anti-emetic in reducing nausea and vomiting for STOP under conscious sedation”. Dr. Wan Siu Fan presented a poster on “Trend of contraception practice in Hong Kong in past 10 years”.
The Congress was well attended by participants from the South East Asia region. Speakers from all over the world were invited to deliver lectures and to share their expertise with participants at the Meet the Expert at Breakfast discussions.
