About ARC

Introduction

With the generous donation of Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the 8/F of our Wanchai Headquarters have been revamped in 2012 to create a vibrant and youth friendly youth hub – FPA Jockey Club Youth Zone, which serves for young people to conveniently access educational programs and resources, clinical and counseling services. The Reference Library is now replaced by the Activity & Resource Centre (ARC) in Youth Zone, which continues to serve and provide educational support to schools, families and our community.

In ARC, the 6 key learning concepts are found in the installation of multi-media games, display of unique exhibits and a special area called Kids Zone, which aims to help children and youth to learn about the healthy attitude of sex in an open and relaxing atmosphere. Parents are also encouraged to talk about sexuality with their children by using our resources. ARC also serves the characteristics of library where collections of sexuality education, sexual and reproductive health, family life, and other audio-visual teaching kits and publications are provided for reference, loan or purchase. A space with free Wi-Fi internet access and computers will create a comfortable atmosphere for visitors to freely access to our information.

Further promotion of sexuality education among schools, parents, youth and community groups are supported by our diversified activities, such as the guided tours, public talks for parents and DIY workshops. Members of ARC are welcome to borrow Chinese and English publications, and audio-visual education-kits. Fringe benefits and the latest news of ARC will be received.
