Loan of Resources

Members are welcome to borrow books, multimedia items and educational kits.

Loaning Regulations

  1. Please show valid ARC Membership Card for loaning items. Individual Members may give written authorization for another person to check out the resources.
  2. Loan and return of items should be handled at the ARC counter. Members can also use the Book Drop to return borrowed books.
  3. Loaning regulations for different categories of members are as below:

    Overdue fine HK$5 per item per working day
    a. Partial list of books are for loan by Individual Member and Agency Members ONLY. Periodical, magazines and reference books are not allowed to be charged out.
    b. Partial list of multimedia items are for loan by Agency Members ONLY
  4. Renewal:Renewal can be made for two consecutive times ONLY if there is no request of reservation by others. For multimedia items, please make telephone enquiries about the availability of items one day before the due date.
  5. Reservation:Members are recommended to make telephone enquiries about the status of items at least three days in prior (for multimedia items ONLY). Members can also browse the “Library Catalogue of ARC” to reserve the charged out items.
  6. Loss/Damage:Please check if there is any damage of charged out items before leaving ARC. Borrowers are responsible for any loss or damages of items. The charge includes the replacement of items, reproduction of resources kit, in addition to the administrative fee (at 25% of the above cost).
  7. Please report immediately for any loss of ARC Membership Cards. Members are responsible for all the items checked out unless the case has been reported in written to ARC.
  8. A membership card is not to be transferable. Members need to take full responsibility for the use of the card.
