The Association co-organized a seminar on “10 Ways to strengthen sexuality education: Experiences across the ocean” with the Hong Kong Association of Sex Educators, Researchers & Therapists (HKASERT) on 17 November 2012. Dr Marty Klein, a veteran American sex educator, family therapist and sociologist, was invited to share with Hong Kong parents, teachers, health professionals and tertiary students the United States’ experiences and results in implementation of sexuality education.

In his usual dynamic and entertaining style, Dr Klein shared the common features and outcomes of the best programs; the challenges and controversies sexuality education programs face; how professionals, parents, and communities grapple with these problems; and how politics was involved in sexuality education.

Dr Klein has over 30 years’ practical experiences in clinical practice, teaching and training in sexuality education. His publications include “Sexual Intelligence”, “America’s War on Sex”, “Beyond Orgasm” and “Ask Me Anything: Dr Klein Answers the Sex Questions You’d Love to Ask”, etc. He regularly update his award-winning blog (URL: www.martyklein.com) with the latest articles on various sexuality issues, which are consistently commended as insightful, practical and thought-provoking.
