Cervical Screening and Women’s Health Service
Service Content
The Women's Health Service of The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong provides sexual and reproductive health services for all women, regardless of age and marital status, such as cervical screening, HPV vaccine (9-in-1), blood tests, sexually transmissible diseases screenings etc. to help detect and treat common gynaecological diseases that may be asymptomatic at an early stage.
Cervical Screening and Women’s Health Service
All women who have ever had sexual experience should receive regular cervical screening, which can detect hr-HPV or early abnormal cervical cell changes. Timely treatment of precancerous changes can prevent the progression to cervical cancer. Cervical cancer screening options currently available include cervical cytology, HPV DNA test and Co-test (HPV DNA test with cervical cytology). FPA Women's Health Check-up includes health history, general physical examination (including measurement of blood pressure, pulse rate, body weight and height, examination of the thyroid, abdomen, breasts and pelvis, auscultation of heart and lung), urine dipstick for glucose and protein and teaching breast self-examination (please click here to refer to "Health Info - Breast Problems and Breast Cancer").*Cervical screening: cervical cytology (liquid-based cytology) or co-test (HPV DNA testing + cervical cytology) is also taken.
*The Association can arrange colposcopy referral to Hospital Authority, private hospitals or its Cervical Disease Clinic upon clients' conditions and needs.

Shingrix Zoster Vaccine Please note: clients must complete the vaccination at the same location.
According to the recommendations of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, regardless of whether you have had chickenpox before, people aged 50 or above / people aged 18 or above who have weakened immune systems or are at higher risk for shingles can consider to receive Shingrix Zoster Vaccine. Vaccination can protect against shingles and postherpetic neuralgia induced by shingles, and reduce related complications. As for whether or not to get vaccinated, please seek doctor’s advice first. |

- Women who are practicing contraception (which includes condoms and periodic abstinence): Appointment is not required, please visit FPA Birth Control Clinics to receive nurse assessment at its service hours.
- Women who are not practicing contraception (including menopausal or sterilized women): Appointment is required, please click here to submit booking request of Women's Health Service, leaving your name and contact information to schedule your appointment or call our FPA Clinic Services Hotline at 2572-2222.
Unmarried women aged below 26: please click here to submit booking request of Youth Health Care Service, leaving your name and contact information to schedule your appointment or call our Youth Health Care Centres for appointment.
