FPAHK expresses gratitude to BMCPC for donating a Diagnostic Ultrasound System

The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong (FPAHK) has been gifted with a donation of HK$200,000 by The Board of Management of the Chinese Permanent Cemeteries (BMCPC) in 2024 for acquiring a Diagnostic Ultrasound System which is essential for delivering quality sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services.

The Diagnostic Ultrasound System is now installed in FPAHK’s Tsuen Wan Clinic to replace the old unit. It is used to perform pelvic ultrasound scanning, which is commonly required in a range of services. This system supports Early Pregnancy Assessment by enabling detection of fetal heartbeats and measurement of gestational age, providing reassurance to pregnant women experiencing symptoms of threatened miscarriage. The ultrasound system also plays a crucial role in determining the gestational age in unplanned pregnancy and assists in follow-up care after procedures. In women’s health check-up, it aids in the assessment of abnormal conditions, facilitating timely diagnosis and appropriate referrals to specialists.

The ultrasound system enhances the safety and effectiveness of managing women’s health conditions. The FPAHK extends its gratitude to the BMCPC for its generous donation, which supports its work as it strives to continuously enhance its service quality to promote Hong Kong citizens’ SRH.
