Peer Counselling Team

Youth volunteers in the peer counselling team are trained to provide sexual and reproductive health counselling to youths via e-mail and social media platforms. Intensive training workshops are conducted every year for newly recruited peer counsellors, who learn how to offer non-judgmental, non-directive emotional support and advice on sexual and reproductive health.

Through regular group training and close supervision by the counsellors of the Youth Health Care Service, the peer counsellors learned to address youth's sexual and reproductive concerns, acquire accurate knowledge about sexuality, and develop responsible attitudes and life skills.

For those peer counsellors who have volunteered for a year and performed well, they will receive a certificate of commendation and the opportunity to become a youth representative of the Association. They will be invited to attend seminars and workshops organized by the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) and will have the opportunity to interact with other youth representatives from various countries.
