The Family Planning Association set up its first women’s club in 1978. Today, we have six women’s clubs operating respectively in Sheung Shui, Ma On Shan, Tseung Kwan O, Lam Tin, Tuen Mun and Yuen Long. The Women’s Clubs aim to promote sexual and reproductive health through their members and volunteers, developing their potential and self-esteem with training and mobilizing them to contribute to sexuality education, health communication and women empowerment activities in the community.
Our Objectives
- To increase the awareness of family planning and promote sexual and reproductive health amongst women and their families;
- To enhance the quality of family life through family life education and recreational programs;
- To enhance the health and well-being of women by promoting a healthy life style and encouraging good healthcare practices; and
- To improve the status of women by encouraging them to develop their potentials and realize their leadership and other abilities.
