A World AIDS Day Program: "Let's Have Lunch"
World AIDS Day takes place on 1 December each year. Sponsored by Gilead Sciences, Inc., the Association had organized a special program titled “Let’s Have Lunch” to raise public’s awareness and reduce stigma for people living with HIV. The event was held in cafe330 of New life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association in The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and The University of Hong Kong (HKU). Customers were invited to show their support by ordering a special meal, and get a table mat designed by the local artist @missquai and a copy of “0-18+ Sexuality Education Newsletter :KNOW AIDS NO AIDS” published by FPAHK as souvenirs. On that day, a poster with questions on HIV/AIDS was posted in the café. Customers were encouraged to challenge themselves by answering the questions in 30 seconds to learn more about prevention of HIV and relevant information.
