Spring Lantern Festival Rose Distribution (2013)

Chinese Valentine’s Day, also known as Spring Lantern Festival, conveniently fell on a Sunday, 24 February, this year. In tandem with the festival’s theme of love and romance, FPAHK’s youth volunteer team Famplus2 organized a promotional activity to disseminate positive messages on relationships and sexuality and to promote the newly launched Famplus2 Facebook page.

350 bunches of artificial roses with healthy messages printed on their leaves were handed out to young couples, families, teenagers and tourists around the Tsim Sha Tsui area where large colourful lanterns were on display. They were encouraged to share those messages with their loved ones and to visit the Facebook page to learn more about sex. Some happily agreed to take photographs with a big message card to express their blessings to friends and family.
