Farewell to the FPA Jockey Club Teen Bean Mobile Classroom: Invitation to Project Closing Ceremony and Fun Day, celebrating 15 years of advancing sexuality education
Since its launch in 2011, the FPA Jockey Club Teen Bean Mobile Classroom (“Teen Bean”) has been dedicated to promoting sexuality education and family life education, serving the Hong Kong community for 15 years. In view of the vehicle’s age and in alignment with the Family Planning Association of Hong Kong’s (FPAHK) development towards digital sexuality education services, the Teen Bean Mobile Classroom will conclude its service at the end of March 2026. FPAHK will host the FPA Jockey Club Teen Bean Mobile Classroom Project Closing Ceremony and Fun Day on 21 March and warmly invites the public to join this special occasion and witness the remarkable journey of the Mobile Classroom.
FPAHK pioneered mobile sexuality education services in 1999 through the establishment of Hong Kong’s first Sex Education Mobile Library, integrating sexuality education activities with library services to enhance access to services and resources for schools and organizations. In 2011, with the generous support of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Teen Bean Mobile Classroom was launched to replace the former Mobile Library. Over the past 15 years, the Teen Bean Mobile Classroom has garnered widespread support from schools, parents, and the wider community, benefiting more than 265,000 individuals and making a significant contribution to advancing sexuality education in Hong Kong.
The Teen Bean Mobile Classroom provides a comprehensive range of sexuality education services through its resources, programmes, and outreach. It is equipped with sexuality education books and multimedia learning and teaching resources for public access and member borrowing. It also works closely with schools and organizations to deliver diverse educational programmes, such as roving exhibitions, parent resource days, parent‑child storytelling workshops, and interactive workshops on youth online dating. In addition, the Teen Bean Mobile Classroom regularly reaches out to schools, organizations, and local communities, providing educational activities and consultation services for youth, teachers, social workers, parents, and the general public.
The upcoming Project Closing Ceremony and Fun Day will revisit the Teen Bean Mobile Classroom’s development and accomplishments. The event will feature parent–child game booths, a mini‑talk on family sexuality education, information on community support services, and instant photo sessions. FPAHK warmly welcomes the public—especially families with children—to join this meaningful celebration.
