Talk Introduction:
This one-hour lecture will provide a comprehensive overview of prostate health, focusing on the distinction between benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer. The presentation will address the symptoms and workups surrounding prostate conditions, including contemporary diagnostic procedures such as PSA testing and biopsies, and outlining effective management strategies for both benign and malignant cases. Additionally, attendees will gain insights into the role of HPV in relation to man’s health, emphasizing the importance of prevention and vaccination in reducing associated cancer risks in male.
Upon completion of the activity, participants will be able to:
(1) Have a comprehensive overview of prostate health, focusing on the distinction between benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer.
(2) Understand the symptoms and workups surrounding prostate conditions, including contemporary diagnostic procedures such as PSA testing and biopsies, and effective management strategies for both benign and malignant cases.
(3) Gain insights into the role of HPV in relation to men’s health, learn about the importance of prevention and vaccination in reducing associated cancer risks in male.
(4) Acquire essential knowledge and practical tools for enhancing patient education and clinical practices related to prostate health and improving overall health outcomes for men.
