Women’s Health Service

Service Content

The Women's Health Service of The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong provides screening and tests for all women, regardless of age and marital status, to help detect and treat common gynaecological diseases that may be asymptomatic at an early stage.

The service includes health history, general physical examination (including measurement of blood pressure and body weight, examination of the thyroid, abdomen, breasts and pelvis, auscultation of heart and lung). Laboratory investigations include urine analysis for glucose and protein. A Pap test* is also taken and women are taught breast self-examination.

*If the smear shows abnormality, the Association can arrange colposcopy referral to Hospital Authority, private hospitals or its Cervical Disease Clinic upon clients' requests.
