Service Content

The Women's Health Service of The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong provides sexual and reproductive health services for all women, regardless of age and marital status, such as cervical screening, HPV vaccine (9-in-1), blood tests, sexually transmissible diseases screenings etc. to help detect and treat common gynaecological diseases that may be asymptomatic at an early stage.

Cervical Screening and Women’s Health Service
All women who have ever had sexual experience should receive regular cervical screening, which can detect hr-HPV or early abnormal cervical cell changes. Timely treatment of precancerous changes can prevent the progression to cervical cancer. Cervical cancer screening options currently available include cervical cytology, HPV DNA test and Co-test (HPV DNA test with cervical cytology). FPA Women’s Health Service includes health history, general physical examination (including measurement of blood pressure, pulse rate, body weight and height, examination of the thyroid, abdomen, breasts and pelvis, auscultation of heart and lung), urine analysis (for glucose and protein) and teaching breast self-examination (please click here to refer to "Health Info - Breast Problems and Breast Cancer").*Cervical screening: cervical cytology (liquid-based cytology) or co-test (HPV DNA testing + cervical cytology) is also taken.

*The Association can arrange colposcopy referral to Hospital Authority, private hospitals or its Cervical Disease Clinic upon clients' conditions and needs.

Blood Test
- Blood Test Package A1: Complete Blood Count (CBC), Glucose, Glycated Haemoglobin (HbA1c), Hepatitis B Antigen (HBsAg), Hepatitis B Antibody (HBsAb), Lipid Profile, Liver Function Test (LFT) & Renal Function Test (RFT) 
- Blood Test Package E1: Complete Blood Count (CBC), Calcium, Phosphorous, Renal Function Test (RFT), Glucose, Glycated Haemoglobin (HbA1c), Lipid Profile, Liver Function Test (LFT), Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), Uric Acid & 25-Hydroxyvitamin D 

Sexually Transmissible Diseases Screening
- Female Sexually Transmissible Diseases Screening 1: Blood Test for Treponemal Antibody by EIA and HIV Ag/Ab Combo
- Female Sexually Transmissible Diseases Screening 2: Cervical Swab for Chlamydia Trachomatis and Neisseria Gonorrhoeae DNA by PCR, HVS for Trichomonas and Monilia

Booking Details

If you need to use our services, please note the following triage system:

Women aged 26 or above, or married:

  • Women who are practicing contraception (which includes condoms and periodic abstinence): Appointment is not required, please visit FPA Birth Control Clinics to receive nurse assessment at its service hours.
  • Women who are not practicing contraception (including menopausal or sterilized women): Appointment is required, please click here to submit booking request or call our FPA Clinic Services Hotline at 2572-2222.

Unmarried women aged below 26: please submit booking request of Youth Health Care Service or call our Youth Health Care Centres for appointment. Wan Chai Youth Health Care Centre 2575-4799, Mong Kok Youth Health Care Centre 2770-4994, Kwai Fong Youth Health Care Centre 2443-2773. Please refer to the service content of Youth Health Care Service.
