Pap Smear Follow-up
Service Content
The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong (FPAHK) collaborates with hospitals under the Hospital Authority (HA) to provide a Shared Care Program in Pap Smear Service.
Clients with diagnosis of abnormal cervical smear from the hospitals can opt to follow up at the FPAHK clinic or by private doctors once their conditions have stabilized.
Clients who choose to have Pap smear in the FPAHK clinic must have a referral letter from the HA hospitals to show that it is appropriate for them to follow up in the smear clinic.
This is a nurse-led clinical service providing cervical smear taking, follow-up, education & counselling. In addition, clients are advised to continue their regular health check-up.
