The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong
Guidelines on Copyright
The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong (FPAHK) is dedicated to promoting sexual and reproductive health. A range of audiovisual resources have been developed to facilitate effective delivery of sexuality education. We welcome organizations to reproduce our works for the purpose of education or research study. Please comply with the copyrights law, credits and due acknowledgment should be given to the Association probably.
The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong owns the copyright of all texts and visual images appeared in all the works published and produced by our Association, including all the pamphlets/booklets, books, teaching resources, and website. Any copying, reproduction or reprint of copyrighted ideas or contents of the above works without the permission of FPAHK are strictly prohibited. Violating the copyright is an illegal act and can result in criminal prosecution.
Guidelines for using the texts:
In respect of copyright, please observe the following rules when using our works (including information in the pamphlets/booklets, articles, case studies, classroom activities, websites, and visual images, etc.) for any publishing, production of educational resources or web pages:
1. Prior permission of the Family Planning Association of Hong Kong is required
2. The purpose is educational or for research study and of non-commercial nature
3. The portion of the copyrighted works should not exceed 25% of the total contents
4. Please properly acknowledge the source of the works, including the title of the pamphlets/booklets/books, page number and the year of publishing (if applicable) should you want to copy any sentence(s), paragraph(s) or excerpt from any article(s):
e.g. (1) (Source of reference: The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong. "Ways to Reject Sex Request", Handout)
e.g. (1) (Source of reference: The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong. Methods of Teaching Sexuality. pp. 48 - 52. 1998.)
e.g. (1) (Source of reference: The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong Sexuality Education Website at www.famplan.org.hk/sexedu)
5. Prior approval from the Association is required before publishing the book(s), booklet(s), or pamphlet(s) that involves the reproduction of the Association's works
6. Please send us a hard copy of the materials that incorporate the reproduction of the Association's works for record
Guidelines for using and downloading visual images, including photos and illustrations:
1. Prior permission of the Family Planning Association of Hong Kong is required
2. The purpose is educational or for research study and of non-commercial nature
3. For using any visual images from our Association, proper acknowledgement of the source must be given on each picture, photo or any visual image as "Source of Image: The Family Planning Association of Hong Kong". Should the images are originated from any of our particular resources, including pamphlets/booklets/books/websites, etc., you are required to probably acknowledge the titles of the resources or websites
4. Prior approval from the Association is required before publishing the book(s), booklet(s), or pamphlet(s) that involves the reproduction of the Association's works
5. Please send us a hard copy of the materials that incorporate the reproduction of the Association's works for record
The above are the general guidelines for public reference; the Family Planning Association of Hong Kong reserves the right to make final decision. Due consideration would be given to individual cases if necessary.
